About Deep Intelligence Lab
Our mission, vision, research values, and the story behind one of the region’s leading AI research groups.
“The Deep Intelligence Lab is dedicated to developing intelligent computational systems that transform how we understand and diagnose disease, analyze environmental data, and interact with the world.”
Founded under the leadership of Muhammad Attique Khan, the Deep Intelligence Lab conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and intelligent sensing systems. We combine rigorous mathematical foundations with practical AI engineering to produce research that is scientifically impactful, technologically innovative, and socially relevant.
Our research spans several emerging domains, including medical imaging and computer-aided diagnosis, earth observation and remote sensing, security and privacy in AI systems, precision agriculture, and intelligent data analytics. We develop advanced methodologies for applications such as automated disease detection, federated and privacy-preserving learning, satellite image analysis, crop monitoring, environmental assessment, and trustworthy AI systems.
The lab maintains active collaborations with universities, research centers, and healthcare institutions across Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, China, Turkey, Spain, and the United Kingdom, fostering global partnerships that support impactful and collaborative AI research.
